Best way to contact us
Email: contact@bincollectionday.org
To help us review your message faster, include the page URL, the council name, the official source link, the exact part that may be incorrect, and a short explanation of what should be changed.
What we can help with
| Reason for contact | What to include |
|---|---|
| Incorrect collection guidance | Page URL, council name, official source link, and the corrected detail. |
| Broken official link | The page URL and the replacement official link if you have one. |
| Missing update | The new council announcement, PDF calendar, service page or GOV.UK link. |
| Privacy question | Your question and the email address you want us to reply to. |
| Editorial feedback | The guide you read, what was unclear, and what would have made it more useful. |
What we cannot do
- We cannot tell you your official collection date without checking the relevant official council source.
- We cannot report a missed bin on your behalf.
- We cannot book bulky waste or garden waste services for you.
- We cannot issue refunds, replacement bins or service decisions.
- We cannot provide legal advice or council enforcement advice.
Before sending a collection request
If your message is about a missed bin, bulky waste booking, paid garden waste, damaged bin, assisted collection or new property collection setup, please use the official council service page. We can explain the process in our guides, but the council must handle the actual request.
Correction priority
We prioritise corrections that could cause a resident to miss a collection, use the wrong official link, misunderstand a charge, place the wrong material in a bin, or follow outdated bank-holiday guidance.
Response expectations
We review genuine correction requests as part of our editorial process. Complex updates may require checking several official pages because councils sometimes split information across postcode tools, PDFs, service portals and announcement pages.
